Burundi Delegation Visits CITT. A delegation of 3 peoples from Burundi with Sponsors visited CITT. They had a meeting with Rajeev Aggarwal, Director (CITT) where he explained to the delegation the Technologies developed by KIST/CITT.

On 11th May 2010, Eleven trainees were awarded a Certificate of Entrepreneurship. The ceremony was directed by the CITT Director, Mr. Rajeev Aggarwal who made a brief presentation to all CITT Staff and the incubates present. The guest of Honor was Vice Rector Academics, Prof. John MSHANA.

WELCOME TO TBIF
A Technology and Business Incubation Facility (TBIF) is a unique initiative established by Kigali Institute of Science and Technology (KIST)
to provide Business Incubation and Support Services to accelerate the development of Technology based start up entrepreneurs in Rwanda.
This initiative was supported by The Netherlands Organization for International Cooperation in higher education (Nuffic) under their program
to support Institutional Strengthening of Post-secondary Education and Training Capacity (NPT) and the InfoDev Incubator Grant from the Information
for Development Program (InfoDev), World Bank and Competitiveness and Enterprise Development Project (CEDP) under Ministry of Finance and Economic
Planning, Government of Rwanda.
Technology and Business Incubation Facility (TBIF) is a multi-tenancy facility which provides shared services and Business Development services
in Rwanda. It is targeting all graduates from Rwandan institutions of higher education, innovators, and technicians, together with already practicing
entrepreneurs, particularly SMEs. The TBIF provide a comprehensive service package, which could cover a wide range of activities ranging from housing
of office and/or production facilities, consulting in all areas of business management, subsidies, access to start-up venture capital, organization
of internal and external education and training, promotion/marketing of the tenant’s via media, databases, contacts etc. TBIF has a direct and indirect
impact on rural economic transformation, in that it will lead to diversification of rural activities, and this will be associated with creation of
opportunities for rural productive employment.
TBIF is a member of the African Incubator Network, the Southern African Business & Technology Incubation Association, the Shanghai International Technology Transfer Information Platform & Affiliated with the US based National Business Incubation Association:
